HTC One A9 Update, Specs & Features: Exec Says Device’s New Design Will Be Similar To M Series

A new report has surfaced on Friday, saying that HTC's upcoming flagship smartphone, the HTC One A9 will mark a significant design development for the company. The news comes after the company executive confirms that future smartphones will feature similar design to that of HTC One A9, a report from iDigital Times said.

"Starting with the One A9, our design language will enter a different and fashionable phase," HTC North Asia president Jack Tong said as quoted in the report. On Tuesday, the Taiwan-based mobile manufacturer has announced that the design of its latest smartphones will feature a unique design which is different from the previous device models. "However, pundits note its extreme similarity of Apple's iPhone 6. But it looks like there will be many more iPhone clones releasing from HTC in the future."

"While the HTC One A9 will stand as a new flagship line, this does not mean the end of other devices like the M series, last of which is the HTC One M9," the report has noted. In an interview with iDigital Times, HTC executive director, portfolio strategy Nigel Newby House said: "We anticipate that we're still working on other flagships."
