Award winning actress, Octavia Spencer has reportedly purchased a home in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles for $841,000. Apparently, Spencer snagged the home sometime in April and managed to keep the purchase a hush-hush matter for a while now.
According to the Daily Mail, the home is a lovely Spanish-style single family residence. It is not known if she will be using the house as a temporary weekend getaway home or be moving in there primarily. Now that Spencer has garnered a lot of attention and limelight, shifting into the house would probably not suit her celeb status.
Listing records of the home state the house is a 1714 square feet residence comprising of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The home has dark hardwood floors and white wood-framed French doors and windows. The place also has a landscaped grassy yard.
Zillow describes the home as:
While modest in size, the 1927 Spanish-style home is filled with character - from dark hardwood floors and plantation shutters to vintage tiles and original fixtures. The property is also in a great location: a block and a half from Toluca Lake boutiques and restaurants on Riverside Drive.

The purchase only further proves Spencer's appreciation for little things. More recently, she took up, what is called, her most intense role till date in "Fruitvale Station"- a low-budget biography drama also starring Michael B. Jordan. Spencer plays the role of Jordan's mother.
According to Bet.com:
Spencer delivers a moving, stoic performance in a story that she says is "sadly, still relevant," and explains that she was drawn to the low-budget indie because she wanted to "be a part of something."
Fruitvale Station will open on July 12 in select theatres only. The movie won wide recognition at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival as well. Check out the trailer of the movie below:
