Thirty days has passed since Ed Boon, co-creator of "Mortal Kombat," and creative director of NetherRealm announced by Twitter that "Mortal KombatX" will get an update, which is Kombat Pack 2 DLC. Up to these days, there are no new characters that DLC launch.

Based on a report from PlayStation Universe, the new characters of Kombat Pack 2 DLC includes Smoke. This character was extremely popular in "Mortal Kombat IX" and briefly appeared during the "Mortal Kombat X" promotions, making the gamers speculated that he will be a playable character this time.

There are also other speculations that Spawn could be the other new Character for the DLC pack. Creator Todd McFarlane of "Spawn" comics gave Warner Bros Entertainment the go signal to include Spawn in the game, but only for a limited time, meaning DLC would have to take the given opportunity before it ends.

Another "Mortal Kombat" staple is Baraka, he has been visible in the series since "Mortal Kombat II." Baraka is another speculated character to appear in the DLC Pack. It already has an entire move set since gamers can fight him in the key campaign, meaning the developer would have a few work left to do so that they could release Baraka as a playable character.

Lastly, the Xenomorph from the franchise of "Alien" is also rumored to be in the DLC Pack. Ed Boon has shown many times on his Twitter account that he is an enthusiast of the "Alien." He has shared video game adaptations, making gamers think that the Xenomorph may be one of the DLC Pack new characters. Other rumored characters are Noob Saibot, Bo Rai Cho and Sindel.
