Introducing the Priciest Listing of Martha’s Vineyard at $118 Million

The most expensive listing of Martha's Vineyard has reportedly made its way into the listing market with an asking price of $118 million. The listing is one of the most expensive in the country.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the estate is a 314 acre property owned by Gery DeBlois and a family trust. DeBlois apparently accumulated the property over the years since 1981 and spends around six months a year at the estate. However, he has decided to sell as he is getting old.

"It's a special, private, peaceful place I've enjoyed for 30 years," he said to WSJ.

The state has a 5,600 square feet home that was built in 1985. The home boasts of luxury amenities complete with a modern gym and a 12,000 bottle wine cellar. Outside the home has sprawling greens and a large infinity swimming pool. The estate also has a 700 square feet guest house, two ponds and about 1200 feet of beach front.

The Martha's Vineyard estate is just about $72 million shy of the most expensive listing of the country. A water-front mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut, forayed into the market in May 2013, with an asking price of $190 million.

According to the listing records, the residence is set in a 50 acre beach-front lot. Built in 1898, the home is a 13,519 square feet single-family residence, comprising of 12 bedrooms, seven full and two half bathrooms.
