"Days Of Our Lives" followers have something to look forward to as it has been reported that Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) is possible to return to Salem. His would be come back is said to be just in time for the daytime drama's 50th anniversary celebration.
According to Soap Opera Spy, Jack is already "presumed" dead but that already happened before. During Ashford's interview, he revealed that his managers and agents are already monitoring how things go. Matthew reportedly told Soap Opera Digest that, "You have to keep knocking on the door every now and then and say, 'What's up?' It gives them time."
With this exciting news coming out, fans of "Days Of Our Lives" are anticipating what could possibly happen considering that many actors have already returned to the show. It would be lovely to see if Jennifer Deveraux's presumed dead husband will be able to find its way back home to his family. His children Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi) and J.J. Deveraux (Casey Moss) will definitely love to see their father alive.
Jack was presumed dead while saving her daughter Abigail who was trapped in an elevator. He was able to get Abigail out of the elevator but then he ended up trapped inside. The elevator cables broke which led to his death.
Last June, Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported that Ashford's die-hard fans took to social media to express their desire to have him back on the show. The fans use Twitter by frequently using the hashtag, "#BringBackJack."
It has been reported that back in April, Matthew said that he is "open in returning to the show however he hasn't been asked about it yet."
Ashford joined the cast of "Days of Our Lives" in 1987 together with Melissa Reeves as Jennifer Horton wherein they become the most powerful couple of the show. The first time he left the show was in 1993 and he returned again in 2001 and then he left again in 2003. He went back quickly in 2004 but then again left in 2006, and then he made a quick appearance in 2007. The last time Jack was seen in Salem was 2012.
