A home on Evergreen Street in Arlington County, Virginia, which was the childhood home of Jim Morrison, the front man of legendary rock band "Doors", has reportedly been listed for sale with an asking price of $949,000.
According to the Washington Post, Morrison spent a part of his childhood in the house. Older residents of the area recall a young Morrison playing on the street. He lived there with his family. The home has been renovated many times since then. Apparently, the current owner, David Tallman didn't know of the home's musical heritage until a few years ago, when the paparazzi came knocking at his door.
Listing records of the home state that the residence is a single family home spread on a 8908 square feet lot. The residence itself spans an area of 2364 square feet and comprises of four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The home last sold in January 2004 for around $650,000.

Morrison passed away 42 years ago on July 3. He was one of the first stars to have passed away too soon making him a member of the "27 Club", which includes musicians who passed away at 27 like Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix and Amy Winehouse, reports The Huffington Post.
To celebrate Morrison, a new documentary is under works. The short film will focus on Morrison's early childhood through late college days. Maybe the home will feature in that documentary too!
