Will 'Halo 5' Come to PC?

There is only a few more days left before "Halo 5: Guardians" will be released on Xbox One. It is a first person shooter game developed by 343 industries for Xbox exclusively. But because some of its predecessors like "Halo 2," "Halo: Sparta Strike" and "Halo: Spartan Assault" have made its way to PC, many fans are hoping that the same thing would happen for "Halo 5: Guardians."

According to Polygon, Halo franchise development director Frank O'Connor was spotted during a live stream speaking to Game Radar saying that there is a possibility that "Halo 5: Guardians" would make it to PC.

He reportedly said, "Microsoft has made a huge commitment to try and I think normalize the Windows experience across multiple platforms. You're seeing elements of Windows 10 are going to appear on the Xbox ... Cortana and stuff like that."

He continued, "There's plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC. Nothing to announce at this point but it's absolutely not out of the bounds of reason. We developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. But nothing to announce today."

On the other hand, as O'Connor said, his words should not be taken as an announcement. According to IGN, he had reiterated through Twitter that 343 Industries currently has no plans to release "Halo 5: Guardians" for Windows 10. His Twitter post reads, "I didn't 'mention' it, I was asked a question and gave the same noncommittal answer I've been giving to that question for ten years."

Furthermore, Xbox marketing executive Aaron Greenberg is also said to have stressed on social media that, "This is not true. Game is being made exclusively for Xbox One" after one fan got upset about the possibility of Halo 5 on PC was possible, taking to Twitter to say, "@aarongreenberg I find that your communication is catastrophic how can you say a possible release of Halo5 on PC in three days of its release."

Both Greenberg and O'Connor are simply emphasizing that "Halo 5: Guardians" at the moment is only for Xbox One and though it may be possible that the game may have a PC version, it should be noted that the developers currently have no plans of doing that yet.
