In the wake of Gwen Stefani's divorce with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, the Bush frontman is said to be seeking a large sum of money plus their former marital home. The settlement is reportedly taking time because the former couple has no prenuptial agreement.
Sources revealed that it seems Gwen's divorce is going to be complicated now that money matters is a major consideration. Gavin is seeking to secure their marital home and is asking for approximately $50 million from Gwen, Radar Online reports. His petition reportedly shocked the No Doubt singer as she couldn't believe that he would ask her that much.
"Gwen can't believe that Gavin is asking for their Beverly Hills mansion as part of the settlement," an insider revealed. "Gavin is seeking at least $50 million from Gwen, along with monthly child and spousal support."
Another source added, "Based on their extravagant lifestyle, Gwen could be paying Gavin a very large payment every month, upwards of at least $50,000!"
There are also reports claiming that Gwen's divorce with Gavin is rooted on his infidelity. She reportedly believes that he cheated on her with one of their nannies. Reports have it too that the Bush singer won't be working so hard and is just planning to take a semi-pro tennis tour than getting busy with his band.
Gwen has a net worth of $120 million while Gavin has a net worth of $20 million, and insiders claimed that the "Used to Love You" singer was so disappointed that he could ask so much money despite his cheating.
Meanwhile, TMZ revealed that Gwen's divorce with Gavin has already reached a settlement. Sources close to the former couple claimed that the two will share the physical custody of their kids. However, with Gwen's busy tour schedules, Gavin will reportedly have their children most of the time. Contrary to the reports, the father of one agreed to take much less than 50 percent share of the community property.
Gwen and Gavin are parents to Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and Apollo, 19 months. They announced their decision to split after 13 years of marriage in August. The couple cited irreconcilable differences in their divorce documents. Based on the California law, they are entitled to 50 percent settlement due to absence of prenup. However, Gavin will take less of it reportedly due to his desire to settle the divorce quickly.
