The famous "horseshoe shaped" hotel, The Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort, first grabbed headlines sometime back in February for being one of the most elaborate hotels of the Sheraton Hotels and Resorts brand. Its structure and interiors were broadly discussed as it was completing construction. However, one can witness the hotel's grandeur soon, as the resort is officially opening its doors in August 2013.
The Telegraph got a peek at the almost-finished hotel rooms and has some beautiful pictures of the interiors. In the photos, the insides look spectacular with floors clad in Jade and ceilings adorned with original Swarovski and natural European crystal lamps suspended from the roof to "resemble rolling waves".
The hotel rooms look absolutely plush, epitomizing the definition of luxury. Check out exclusive pictures of the hotel, here.
The Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort looks like it is emerging from the Taihu Lake in Chengdu City. Designed by Ma Yansong, a Beijing based architect of MAD Architects, the resort measures over 100 meters high and around 116 meters wide on a 75-acre area. The project is worth $1.5 billion and features layered floors on the "ring" comprising of 321 rooms, reports Designboom.
It has 37 villas and 40 regular and presidential suites each. Every room features a waterfront view and has ample ventilation and access to natural light. A special LED lighting system illuminates the resort in the evenings that accentuates its metal texture and gives it an animated colorful look.
While the Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort is a visual treat, it also offers exquisite services too. Every room in the hotel is fitted with high-speed internet access. It provides for 24 hour concierge and security facilities. Modern fitness centers along with luxurious spa services are also available. A business center for conventions and meetings is also available. A kids club, limo services and club lounge are some of its added features.
