Apple just released its newest ads for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, touting the smartphones' new features and introducing a couple of stars, NBA star Steph Curry and Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx, as Apple's latest celebrity endorsers.
The first of the three ads mainly focuses on the iPhone 6s latest camera, its live photos feature and 4k video recording. The clip demonstrates how the camera together with its apps can change the way the user takes, searches and shares photos.
The Golden State Warriors star appears in a cameo by the end of the ad, showing off the latest iOS 6s video recording technology in HD slow-motion as he makes the shot. Aside from Curry's slow-mo shot, the video clip titled "The Camera" also shows a demo of the phone's latest features, the Live Photos and enhanced 12MP iSight camera.
The other two ads are basically Foxx's 15-second clips that demonstrate the functionality of "Hey Siri" technology. In one ad titled "Crush," Foxx is shown prepping and tying his tie while talking to Siri hands-free. In the other ad, "Flip a Coin," the actor is holding two scripts looking confused, until he asks Siri to use the 'flip a coin' feature to help him decide.
According to Tech Crunch, Apple's latest ads are more focused on having their users get used to hands-free conversations with Siri, which is now made possible because of the current technology of iPhones' M9 motion coprocessor. The new tech allows Siri to chat with the user anytime without significantly draining the phone's battery life.
Apple's newest ads are meant to boost further the sales of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which were unveiled in September. The company has put its latest iPhones on sale at that time, exceeding market expectations by selling a total of over 13 million phones during the initial weekend of sales.
