"The Young & The Restless" is about to welcome another member of the cast with the addition of Jason Thompson, who is reportedly going to play Billy Abbott.
According to reports, Jason Thompson, who plays Dr. Patrick Drake in the "General Hospital" soap, decided not to renew his contract with ABC. Rumor has it that he is heading to "The Young and The Restless" and based on the new speculations, he might be playing as Billy Abbott, Examiner.com said.
Examiner.com noted that Billy Miller left the role of Billy Abbott because Y&R wouldn't allow him to pursue other gigs. Miller is now with GH and has been casted for FOX's primetime pilot "Urban Cowboy." There was a recasting for the Billy Abbott role and Burgess Jenkins currently plays it. Is he planning to leave Y&R?
As previously reported, Jason's exit from GH and entry to Y&R remain as pure speculations and there are no official confirmations yet from either daytime soap opera. Meanwhile, Soaps In Depth magazine said that multiple sources have confirmed that Thompson is leaving GH and that the actor "had made it known to his colleagues and employers."
Meanwhile, "The Young & The Restless" spoilers this week tease that one major character is going to die from the Halloween Gala fire at the Newman Enterprises. As to who that could be, speculations include Stitch, Joe Clark and Michael Baldwin. Sean Carrigan (Stitch) reportedly has not renewed his contract with the soap. Joe Clark (Scott Elrod) has been missing for a while since Avery (Jessica Collins) left and then Christian LeBlanc's (Michael Baldwin) exit has long been rumored so their characters could be killed off. It could also be Adam Newman (Michael Muhney), who is reportedly going to be a hero and save people's lives when the fire erupted.
