5 Home Buys That Can be Skipped and are Unnecessary for Your Home

Get wiser from these tips given by well-calibered interior designers! Elle Decor yet shares again useful tips to make homeowners save some bucks on choosing wisely what to buy and consider for their homes.

1. Bust Those "Cheap Art" and Make Your Walls Stand Out With a Unique Piece

Many are afraid to make their homes look boring so to address the problem, they try to buy many cheap wall art to fill their walls. But this isn't actually necessary, there are many options you can do to design that blank wall without heading over and buying these cheap finds.

One of which that you can try is making your own art piece. This project would depend on the space you want to fill in. Buy a canvas board and paint some colors that would suit "brightly" in the palette of your home. This is a good deal you can make that would display more of who you are.

2. Slipovers Aren't Necessary

This is another furniture accessory that may cost you and are not even necessary. According to Interior Designer Charmaine Werth said, "They can be quite expensive, and it's hard to keep them looking nice and crisp. The truth is that they move around a lot when you sit on them."

If you still want to make your chairs stand out, try polishing it with a wood-polisher, this will make your chair look classy and simple in its own way.

3. Spending Too Much Money in Children's Furniture

Who would even argue that these tiny furnitures aren't cute and would be perfect for our little ones but to spend money on these is completely wasteful. As the kids grow and become older, the furnitures may not work their purpose anymore and might just be stored in the back of our storage.

As the owner of a boutique interior design firm, Tiffany LeBlanc advised "I personally would wait until they're 3 or 4 to design a room reflective of who they are."

4. Do Not Over-splurge On Trendy Renovations

Home Trends are great for a couple of months and even a year but may not be suited in the long run. It is completely not ideal to follow all the fads that every season sets. Go for the basic colors that could always play and blend well with other colors. You will never go wrong with these.

"There's a reason why white kitchen cabinetry has been around for so long," LeBlanc advised. A classic look will never fail you - even in a decade.

5. Loud Color Pieces That May Be Too Much for Your Home

Go on slowly, the pieces that have loud colors and even bold patterns may seem to be a little too much for your home. If you want a piece on your home that displays this boldness, try going on little by little. One chair or even a side table in plush hot tangerine color may be considered rather than buying a set in full color.
