"Dance Moms" reality star Chloe Lukasiak has shared the struggles she experienced from receiving taunts over the Internet regarding her "lazy eyes."
As it turned out, the 14-year-old "Dance Moms" alum had a serious medical condition called silent sinus syndrome and the lazy eye is one of its symptoms. The condition would have affected her vision if not treated surgically. It can also so lead to facial asymmetry and displacement of the eye, Daily Mail reported.
She was teased because of her eyes and was even called "ugly" by internet trolls. "People started saying things about it, so that was really hard," the young dancer told Seventeen. "It's just hard when people are saying things and they don't really know what's going on."
When the difference between her eyes become more pronounced, her family decided to consult specialists and Chloe had her surgery. She revealed the news to her fans and many have expressed their support and some even shared about their experience of being bullied.
"It felt good knowing that I wasn't the only one," Lukasiak shared. "The support I got... I wasn't expecting it. It was overwhelming."
After she underwent surgery, she posted a snap on Instagram to update fans. She wrote in the caption, "Thank you to everyone for their love and well wishes! I [love] u guys!! And I got my eye patch lol."
