Tom Brady News: NFL Patriots Player Still Shining Bright In The Twilight Of His Career

Most NFL football players would call it quits at 38. Even those considered the best and the greatest of the sport would see the end of the road at this juncture.

Consider New England Patriots' Tom Brady an exception though, a wonderful freak of nature. He may be 38 years old, but the aging quarterback is far from declining.

In their last game on Sunday against the New York Jets, Brady exhibited the agility and quickness that he is known for and led the Patriots in rushing and scored one of the team with his unique QB sneaks, NFL.com reports.

Brady mentioned in an interview that he is always on the lookout on things that can help with the longevity of his career.

"You've got to figure out different ways to try to improve," Brady said. "So it's just a concerted effort to make that really a part of your program.

With the state he's in, Brady is confident that his body can still take 10 more years of football, according to NBC Sports. He believes so much in himself and in the program that he has taken that he declared he feels much better now than five years ago.

NY Jets linebacker David Harris agrees that Brady can still play high level football within the next 10 years, but not without sneaking in some snide commentaries.

"He doesn't take a lot of hits. It's pretty accurate when he says he could play another 10 years. He probably could. Age doesn't have anything to do with it," Harris remarked.

Brady, the three-time NFL MVP who has four Super Bowls notched under his belt is defying time and logic as he continues to razzle and dazzle this season, leading the Patriots to a six-game winning streak as of this writing, and it looks like Brady is not yet done.

However, not so many players at Brady's age are as fortunate. Brady's longtime rival, 39-year old Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos, continues to struggle in what is most definitely his final season in the NFL.
