With funny man Brad Garett joining the cast of Fargo Season 2, fans are most likely to take a 360-degrees travel from the usual Garett they see on TV.
Garett is playing Joe Bulo, a midlevel manager in the Kansas City mafia tasked with disposing of the Gerhardt crime family in Fargo, North Dakota. He will be partners with his No. 2 man - evil Mike Milligan. Bulo will be buying the Gerhardts' business by hook or by crook. Their partnership in the series will be of interest. Fans have already seen how Milligan used a typewriter in episode 2 while interrogating a guilty salesman.
Garett says that the different approaches of both characters will add spice to the storytelling of 'Fargo.'
"Mike has many abilities and talents," Garrett told International Business Times Monday, referencing his partner's penchant for violence. "This is their first time in the field together."
"Joe is an old-school guy," Garrett said. "Early on he figures out that this might be a guy that surpasses him. [Joe] has the upper hand, but down the line [Mike] will be making the calls. That's an extra thing to play. It raises the stakes. Joe needs to get the job done to prove himself."
In episode 3, Garett will have the biggest hour to himself. Fans are more likely needed to expect a different character than what Garett usually performs.
"That's what was attractive [about the character]," Garrett said. He's someone who's humorous despite himself. It's great to play someone who doesn't mean to be funny. The humor comes from character, not from jokes."
If you want to watch Fargo, it airs on Mondays at 10PM EDT on FX.
