The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star, Orlando Bloom, has reportedly snagged a renter for his famous Hollywood Hills home, which was robbed by a gang of teenagers, who now have a movie "Bling Ring" dedicated to them. Bloom will be minting $16,500 a month from the rental, according to several media reports.
Bloom purchased the home for $2.7 million in 2007. It was burgled by a group of teenagers who stole expensive clothes, jewelry and also swept away a lot of money in 2009. All of them were nabbed and put in jail, reports Yahoo News.
In total, nearly half a million dollars worth of the couple's high-fashion label clothing, luggage and art -- including Bloom's Rolex watch collection -- was stolen.
Rachel Lee, the leader of the group was released on parole for good behavior. Apparently, she had broken into Bloom's house to get her hands on some of the Victoria's Secret clothes that Bloom's then-live-in-girlfriend and now-wife Miranda Kerr had, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Bloom was later approached for a cameo in the movie. However he declined saying:
"It was too close to home for me to want to be involved."
