Elementary’s Jonny Lee Miller Finds Buyer for Los Feliz Home

Jonny Lee Miller, who plays 'Sherlock Holmes' in crime drama series 'Elementary', has reportedly found a buyer for his house in Los Feliz. While some reports say that the sale is expected to close by the end of August with the speculated sale price being $1.6 million, others suggest that the home has already sold.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the "Trainspotting" actor purchased the home sometime back in 2009 for $1.5 million.

The residence is a Spanish-style home exuding the rustic charm of a classic residence. The house is a 2800 square feet single family residence comprising of three bedrooms and three baths. Interiors feature wood beamed vaulted ceilings, large wood-framed glass doors and windows and mixed flooring. Outside, the elegant home has a loggia, a fountain and a little shrub garden, reports Realtor.com.

While Robert Downey Jr. perfected the character of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional detective 'Sherlock Holmes' on the silver screen, Miller portrays a much modern and equally entertaining version of the super sleuth on the small screen. The first season of "Elementary" debuted in September 2012. The series shows Miller as a modern day Holmes who lives in New York City and snoops around cracking mysteries with his partner Joan Watson (for James Watson), played by actress Lucy Liu.

Elementary is quite different from the original version of Sherlock Holmes. Apparently, Miller almost turned down the role of Holmes because he thought it would just be monotonous doing another spin off of the already elaborately-adapted detective tales. However, the plots interested him and he took up the role eventually.

The first season garnered a lot of public affection and popularity. The second installment of the series is being shot in New York.

More recently, Miller was seen pulling off a "Matt Damon-style" stunt, jumping off the roof of a taxi in style, reports Daily Mail. The season 2 premieres Thursday, September 26 on CBS.
