2015 League of Legends World Championship Final Stage: KOO Tigers vs SK1

Origen (Spain) and Fanatic (EU) have been cast of out of the league over the weekend as the number of contenders in the League of Legends 2015 World Championship is now down to two Korean teams.

According to Lazy Gamer, Fanatic and Origen, both coming from Europe, have been two of the very best League of Legends teams at the World Championships this year. But many of its European fans who came to the semi-finals in Brussels, Belgium over the weekend, were saddened that Fnatic and Origen have been knocked out by all-Korean teams, SK1 and KOO Tigers.

On Saturday afternoon, Origen lost to Korea's number one team SK1 0-3. Although SK1 was obviously a crowd favorite, nobody expected, neither wanted, an all-Korean final. It clear from the start that the Korean team would topple the Spanish team. SK1 was able thwart every futile attempt against them thanks to the leadership of MaRin who played carry, dominating the top lane. Origen was never given any chance in the best of 5 semis.

Fanatic on the other hand, suffered the same from KOO Tigers. The EU team lost 0-3 to the all-Korean team. Fanatic started strong in the first two games but did not manage to keep the lead as KOO Tigers were able to pick up during the late game. According to Kotaku, Fanatic's clumsy mistakes in the first two games carried on to the third game, and in the end it lead them to their demise.

Thus on Oct 31, it is going to be match between two Korean teams. SK1 and KOO will be vying for the ultimate prize of $1 million in the best of five matches to be held in the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Berlin, Germany.

As disappointing as it may seem that none of the European teams made it to the finals but the fans would have to decide now which team to cheer for at the finals. Which team will bring home the grand prize and be hailed as the champion in 2015 League of Legends World Championship?
