"NBA 2K16," the basketball game from Visual Concepts and published by 2K sports, simulates the NBA season. And if the simulation could predict the outcome of the NBA season, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warrior might meet again during the finals.
According to 247 Sports, the people at 2K Sports have tried to predict the outcome of the 2015-16 NBA season by simulating it with NBA 2K16. And the simulation produced interesting results that may not be so farfetched. The simulation shows that Oklahoma City Thunder took home the season crown in the Western Conference while Cleveland Cavaliers landed on the top spot for the Eastern Conference.
USA Today said that last season, "NBA 2K15" simulation predicted that The Golden State Warrior would win over Cleveland Cavalier in six games in the finals. It turned out that the simulation was exactly right.
According to Fox Sports, in the simulation the Warriors came second to Oklahoma City in the Western Conference, during the regular season, with Kevin Durant averaging 30.7 points and winning his second MVP award.
If the "NBA 2K16" simulation turn out to be right once again, there won't be a rematch between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors because the Cavs would be facing Oklahoma City Thunder instead.
"NBA 2K16" was released last Sept. 29, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Android, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS and Microsoft Windows platforms with a few bugs in its new features. The first patch was released in October to fix major issues on PC and PlayStation, then the patch for Xbox One followed. The "NBA 2K16" is the 17th installment in the NBA 2K franchise and the successor to "NBA 2K15." There is a rumor that 2K Sports has begun working on 2K17.
Do you think the simulation indeed predicts the outcome of the NBA Season 2015-16?
