New Xbox One Experience Coming in November: Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility and Improved User Interface

There is good news for Xbox One players. Next month, Xbox 360 games will be playable on the latest console.

According to Express, during the "Halo 5" Live Launch in London on Oct. 26, Xbox head Phil Spencer announce that on Nov. 12, Microsoft will release the backwards compatibility feature for Xbox One. It was also mentioned that Xbox One owners who preordered "Fallout 3" will be able to start playing the title a few days before "Fallout 4" is out.

According to Xbox website, this Xbox One revamped user interface will be known as the "New Xbox One Experience." As written on the website, "Now you can play a growing number of your Xbox 360 games on Xbox One at no additional cost. With over 100 titles slated for this fall, and hundreds more in the months to come, Xbox One is now the best place to play your Xbox 360 games." Aside from that it was announced through the website that Microsoft commits to offer faster performance and ease-of-use with the revamped UI and the integration of Windows 10.

The update carries ambitious set of features. With the new interface, gamers should be able to easily connect with the community or with friends as the new guide easily shows who is online and what they are playing. The new user interface will also allow gamers to respond to messages and use voice commands without having to leave the game.

The new Xbox One interface integrates a social feature that allows gamers to see latest updates from friends via Activity Feed. One can also like or comment directly on the said activity. Moreover, with the new UI, the store gets four easy-to-navigate areas: Games, Apps, Movies & TV, and Music. Lastly, it aims to be the one sole destination for TV, movies and video apps.
