iPhone users who are prone to scratching or damaging their iPhone screens now have a reason to celebrate: a new version of self-repairing screen protector for iPhones has finally arrived.
The latest innovation of screen protectors came from Innerexile, the company that previously released the original self-repairing screen protector. They made their product even better by unveiling a new version. The company said the latest version of the screen protector is only 0.2mm thick and has been tried on a 2,000 grams bronze brush to mark a scratch. Once the marks have been made, the self-repairing screen protector works like magic as it automatically removes them and bring back the screen to its finest state.
According to Asia PC Mag, this magic-like restoration is because of the microcapsules filled with glue-like liquid. How does it work? When a scratch has been identified, the microcapsules break and fill the space where the scratch was made. With just a blink of an eye, the screen is being repaired without leaving any trace at all.
The seemingly self-healing power of a screen protector might be impossible to believe if not seen with a naked eye. As far as the previous version is concerned, it was quite impressive as it could repair alight screen damages within a minute or less, depending on the location temperature. The new version, however, works faster and even better as it could restore the screen with heavy scratches.
Engadget released a video where the magical self-repairing screen protector was tested using a brass brush to show how the product could vanish the marks in less than a minute.
Innerexile announced that the new version of this self-repairing screen protector is compatible with iPhone 6s and comes with a price of $23.99. It is also compatible with iPhone 6s Plus and supports the built-in 3D Touch pressure-sensing technology of the iPhones. The price for the iPhone 6s Plus is just $25.99 and will be available for shipping on Nov. 3, Tuesday.
