The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is getting converted into luxury condominiums. This means that the Royal Cannaught Park in the Hertfordshire County in southern England, one of the locations for filming the Harry Potter movies, is being converted into condos. The property's enormous Victorian-style dining room was featured as Hogwarts' great hall in the first three films. The conversion will likely be extravagant, since it had to be 'disenchanted' first so that the 'muggles' could see it.

Sleek apartments aren't quite as magical as stone walls hiding and grand moving staircases, but giving an opportunity to live adjacent to the fictional wizarding world is pretty cool.
The Victorian-style dining room on Royal Cannaught Park's property was featured as the Great Hall in the first three Harry Potter movies.
According to House Beautiful, this Great Hall in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone looks like it got dolled up with a bit of movie magic. So far, the price listed for 28 apartments and townhouses ranges from $1 million to $4.3 million. The exterior of the property still features the gothic architecture of Harry's world, but the inside has been completely renovated. The apartments offer modern amenities with contemporary décor.
Among all the renovations, the dining hall remains largely unchanged where you can see the glory days of sorting hats and holiday feasts with Hermione and Ron.
"The former private school was in a terrible state of repair," said Caroline Comer, marketing director for London developer Comer Homes. "Most buildings were derelict and the few that were in use were not maintained very well."
Great Ideas said that the Victorian gothic buildings went through five years of renovation but not everything was changed. The Great Hall remains essentially the same.
The development of the property includes 100 acres of a private parkland, a health and fitness club, and a swimming pool.
