President Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) will continue to fight for his position in the upcoming season of Netflix's political drama, "House of Cards."
It was earlier reported that Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) may not be filing for divorce after walking away in the Season 3 finale. However, executive producer Beau Willimon thinks otherwise.
According to Christian Post, Willimon revealed that the viewers will be seeing the first lady in a whole new way in "House of Cards" Season 4. In an interview, the executive producer explained that Season 3's focal point was about the struggles of the first couple and how they seemed to be so strong amidst the face of dirty politics. He revealed that in Season 4, the show will be focusing back on what the show is really about, which is politics.
Willimon revealed that Frank will be doing everything he can to protect his position as the President of the United States, and he will be facing other presidential candidates in the upcoming election. The EP revealed that aside from the election, Frank will also deal with his wife, as Claire will tell him that she will be leaving him.
Meanwhile, Christian Today reports that Neve Campbell's character might cause a lot of trouble for Frank in the new season of "House of Cards." Based on the spoilers that were earlier revealed, Campbell's character will be a big threat to Frank, as it was earlier reported that she will be the other half of the new power couple that will challenge Frank & Claire.
According to the site, there are rumors circulating that Campbell's character is patterned after Hilary Clinton who is in the running to become the next president of the United States.
As of writing, there is still no definite date for the premiere of "House of Cards" Season 4, but it is expected to be released by Netflix in February 2016.
