Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Broke Up

It is over for Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. The couple dated for almost four years after they have finally decided to put an end with their relationship.

A reliable source told PEOPLE, that Garfield and Stone broke up a couple of months ago. It may be hard for a lot of the couple's fans to believe that it is really over, however, it has been reported that things are "amicable between Stone and Garfield."

The source said that "There was no drama, they've been apart while working. They still care about each other." And then added that the love is still there and said that, "They are on good terms with each other and remain close."

According to E! Online, it has been reported that Andrew and Emma spent a lot of time away from each other earlier this year because of work and that started all the speculations about the real status of their relationship. They both have tight schedules which cause them to get into a long distance relationship.

Last May, a source told E! News that "It was always a 'break' due to schedules." The source added, "They have been really busy, so they finally have had time to see each other again. They care for each other and always have the best time when together."

In the same month, the two were reportedly spotted doing grocery shopping together and even eye witnesses said that "They were smiling a lot and playing around with each other like any other happy couple in love."

Meanwhile, in the July/August issue of Wall Street Journal Magazine, Emma discussed about her relationship and all the speculations running around which she does not normally do.

Emma said that, "See, I never talk about this stuff for this exact reason-because it's all so speculative and baseless." She also explained that it is special for her that is why "it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don't talk about it."

She also shared that sometimes all of it is already starting to affect her in some ways as she explained "There's probably some rebelliousness that comes out in me after all these stories and people texting you for weeks about something that, for the most part, is not true. But even when it's false, I would rather just let it be false."

However, this time it is no longer false and that the couple really did put an end to it.
