A number of homeowners have installed expensive features to their homes or dedicated a section of their house or two to satisfy their personal cravings or gratifications, celebrities included. While some of these add-ons and facilities can be considered normal to the average person, few celebrity homeowners have over-the-top features that are hard to beat.

E! Online listed down eight of the outrageous and perhaps bizarre home additions a celebrity has placed inside his or her house.

1. Saltwater Swimming Pool and Bat Cave

Music superstar Lady Gaga's Malibu mansion features a high-end home theater section and a ginormous wine cellar that can hold 800 bottles. On top of that, the Mother Monster's abode also has a saltwater swimming pool and an underground cavern called the Bat Cave, where Lady Gaga has a 1960s-style bowling alley and basketball free-throw machines.

2. Abortionist Chair

A room in Marilyn Manson's features an abortionist chair, which the singer claims he once covered with a beaver rug (a present from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie) and had sex on it with various partners. Manson named the chair Beaver Mountain.

3. Mall In The Basement

Barbra Streisand once had dinner with a select few, including Lady Gaga, John Travolta, and Kelly Preston, Variety reported. After dinner, the legendary artist offered her guests a tour inside her "mall". Lady Gaga and Ryan Murphy reportedly took off and spent an hour in the basement, which was filled with Streisand's collection of gowns. Other features of her subterranean mall are cobblestones, antique lanterns, a sweet shop, and a dress shop.

4. Basketball Court

It is common knowledge that NBA legend Michael Jordan has an indoor-basketball court in his Highland Park mansion. Built to the standard specifications of an actual NBA court, the Jordan house is a tourist mecca for basketball fans all over the world. On top of that, the house also flaunts a huge fitness center complete with the latest gym equipment and machines and a standard-size tennis court for those who prefer the gentleman's sport.

5. Bath Tub

Bath tubs are staple fixtures in many American homes, unless it's Gwyneth Paltrow's. The actress had an Antonio Lupi Baia tub installed in the middle of her bedroom. Paltrow describes the location of her tub as "perfect for a relaxing wind-down and for bathing the kids."

6. A Mini-Golf Course On The Roof Deck

Jennifer Lopez nabbed herself a penthouse worth $22 million back in 2014. A golf enthusiast, J.Lo had the roofdeck transformed into a well-landscaped section of the property, which included a putting green.

7. Vineyard

The former dream house of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian has two swimming pools, two spas, fountains, and a rose garden. Along with all that was a vast vineyard.

8. Water Park

Celine Dion's former Juniper Island estate property included two connecting pools with slides, watergun stations, and a lazy river. Another pool is built directly facing the Atlantic Ocean.
