'Blood & Oil' Spoilers & Updates: ABC Cancels New Series Due To Low Ratings? Episodes Cut To 10

ABC's new series "Blood & Oil" is in danger of being axed after it was recently confirmed that its episodes have been cut to 10.

According to Deadline, ABC originally ordered 13 episodes for the series starring "Gossip Girl" alum Chace Crawford. At present, the entire cast of "Blood & Oil" are filming their eighth episode for the season, which means that the show's fate isn't secured.

Meanwhile, multiple publications have been speculating that the new series is as good as cancelled due to its low ratings. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Blood & Oil" opened with an impressive following last month, and a total of 6.3 million viewers. However, the ratings for the show have since dwindled, and some fans are no longer interested in watching the show.

On the other hand, there are some fans who are urging ABC to continue giving "Blood & Oil" a chance way past its 10-episode run for Season 1.

According to Design & Trend, hundreds of fans have commented on the show's official Facebook account expressing their thoughts on the cancellation.

One fan wrote, "Don't cancel this show; move to another night."

Another fan seconded the previous one's statement, "Don't cancel. Move to a better timeslot please."

One fan wrote, "Don't get rid of this show! It's amazing!"

"I love this show. Why would they cancel it when it is so good?" "Don't CANCEL!!! This is a great show. Acting is great as well as the storyline!"

More fans wrote, "Love this show!!! Hopefully ABC will pull their head out and give this show a chance."

"I really like this show! More people need to watch & get the ratings up. Especially now that they have cut the episodes from 13 to 10."

"Blood & Oil" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
