The sixth episode of "Blindspot" opens up with Jane having a dream. In it, she is seen being intimate with a guy whose only point of reference for identity is a tattoo of a tree that shows deep roots. According to Entertainment Weekly, Jane opens up about her dream with her therapist who tells her it is a representation of what her innate needs are which are love, security and strength. Jane cannot help but think about Weller whom she has gotten really close to owing to her situation.

Even Bethany is now concerned about the closeness of Weller to Jane which led her to confront him. She tells Weller that maybe he is too invested emotionally to the case. But he would have none of it and assures Bethany that he can go on with the case with no attachments to Jane.

The featured case of the week is a prince from Saudi getting killed by a group of assailants that use a mobile app that has the ability to track down government owned vehicles. The logo of the said app is an owl which is similar to a tattoo on Jane's leg. Patterson connects the dots and concludes that the recent murders of government officials were undertaken using the app which is called Trakzer.

The FBI tracks down the girl responsible for making the app and they catch up with the criminals. In a post by TV Guide, the episode ends with Weller finally talking to his father who cries upon hearing that Taylor Shaw is alive.
