'Until Dawn' Rumors: 'Rush of Blood' DLC PlayStation VR Underway

The success of horror video game "Until Dawn" after it was released in August was very surprising, with the fact that Sony, reportedly, was not very aggressive promoting this video game. Now, there is a buzz saying that the game is getting a DLC called "Rush of Blood," which is actually a PlayStation VR demo.

According to Destructoid, the DLC is currently in its testing period in the UK. Moreover, Destructoid claims to have received an email from an independed source confirming the rumored market testing in the UK on a "Rush of Blood" DLC and the said DLC is intended for VR.

Nevertheless, a tester's remark wrote, "Well you get transported around inside a mine cart; it's very literally an on-rails experience. There are a few scattered jumpscares, as you'd expect, but I played the same 20 minute section twice (once with DS4, once with dual Move controllers), so I'm hoping the full DLC is a lot more padded out. I didn't see which character I was playing as, I'm not sure if it's specified, but no names were mentioned at all.

It starts off shooting targets in the snow, then moves toward a house and as you get deeper into the house, enemies start appearing (I believe they were Wendigos). The frequently reused jumpscare is the 'ghost' from inside the house in "Until Dawn", who you end up fighting for the final area I played. Upon killing the ghost, the game would crash every time.

On the other hand, executive producer Pete Samuels denied that VR content for the first person shooter "Until Dawn" was in development, according to Design and Trend. He said, "We don't expect that there'll be an edition of the 'Until Dawn' story to be playable in VR anytime soon."

For now, with the conflicting factors present, it is best to wait for Sony to make an official statement. In the meantime, "Until Dawn" is available now for PS4 exclusively.
