Adele's First Print Interview In Three Years: Singer Shares What 'Hello' Is About

Adele is so back! Last week Adele just unveiled her new single "Hello" and amazed many. According to PEOPLE, fans and even celebrities were in awe with her latest single and they shared it on social media. And now, Adele gave a beautiful and fascinating print interview with The Vice I-D for the first time in three years.

Here are the things that Adele shared in her special interview.

Becoming a heart surgeon used to be her dream. Adele was very close to her grandparents and she was 10 when she lost her granddad. She shared how much he loved him and meant "more than the world." With the intense pain that she felt she decided that "I wanted to fix people's hearts." And a year later, she took biology lessons at Balham's Chestnut Grove School but then gave up on it as she realized that "her heart wasn't in it anymore."

She works on her records through writing. When she is ready to work on her record she walks going to a local shop and buy a new notebook. Adele explained that, "I do it every album. I buy a new pad, sniff it - 'cause smell is important - and then I get a big, fat sharpie and write my age on the front page. She continued and added, 25 has five exclamation marks after it 'cause I was like, 'How the fuck did that happen?!' 21 to 25." She shared that the album was about realizing that you have already grown up and becoming nostalgic about it.

Motherhood changed her perception. Adele shared that by "Becoming a parent and moving past my mid-twenties, I simply don't have the capacity to worry about as many things that I used to really enjoy worrying about."

And now that she is already a mum, she is able to clear a lot of unnecessary stuff out of her head which she finds therapeutic and said, "cause I can really hold a grudge. Life is so much easier when you don't hoard your past."

"Hello" is said to be similar to "Someone Like You," it feels "like a moment." It talks about your heart being hurt but still able to rise up again after such fall.

Adele explained that, "The song is about hurting someone's feelings but it's also about trying to stay in touch with myself, which sometimes can be a little bit hard to do." She added, "It's about a yearning for the other side of me. When I'm away, I really, really miss my life at home. The way that I feel when I'm not in England, is...desperation. I can't breathe anywhere else."

And lastly Adele said that "Hello" is about wanting to be "home" and reaching out to those she have hurt and that includes "herself" and "apologize for it."

Adele will just keep on singing. She shared that "For a while, it felt like this moment was never gonna come 'cause I couldn't access myself to write a record. So I'm super chuffed and really proud of the songs. I'm shitting myself about it all, but it will be exciting."

And when she was asked what's next for her she said that she would love to go on tour and also "see Britney in Vegas." And on the more serious note she said, "I'd like to be able to stand the test of time and the speed that the world is moving. I'd like to make records forever with the time I've been given for this one. If I can do that I'll be really f****** happy."
