Things are heating up in "The Young and The Restless" on its Oct. 27 episode since Paul and Kevin were already able to identify the person behind the wheel who hit and run Adam.
When Ashley arrived at the hospital, she saw Abby and Stitch but then she ducked out and looked at the engagement ring on her hand. And then Victor appeared and Nikki told him that Adam is still in surgery. Victor approached Jack and told him how wrong he was for accusing Billy to be the person driving the car. He also thanked him for the support he has shown Adam on the stand.
In the NICU, Nick and Sage were panicking since Christian stopped breathing. Nick forced Sage to just go and leave it in the hands of the doctors as Nikki and Victor walked past. Nikki then comforted Sage and gave her a little pep talk to keep her calm while Victor's tells Nick that Christian is a fighter.
Meanwhile at the chapel, Abby talked to Chelsea about Billy forgiving Adam and with that she will no longer have any angst. She also encouraged Chelsea to pray for inner peace and strength. And then Stitch entered and said that Adam had a successful surgery. Chelsea then left.
Stitch approached Abby and told her that she is a wonderful person and then drops to one knee and proposed.
In the waiting area, Nikki and Victor told Jack that Adam's out of surgery already as Chelsea joined them. At frist Chelsea was not allowed to enter Adam's room but later on she was able to visit Adam and he was able to open his eyes a little bit. Chelsea then assured Adam to hang in there and get better and that they will still be together.
At the NICU the doctor explained to both Nick and Sage about sleep apnea and Sage was hysterical about it and said that "He's not a case, he's Christian." The doctor then said that it seems like the odds were not on Christian's side for now, then they went inside and told Christian to fight.
Paul told Kevin and Mariah that they need to find the driver and there's a tip he got that there was a white sedan at South Lake Motel and they think that it was a rented car.
Kevin then went online and he found out that Chloe was the one behind the wheels. Kevin left her a message and promised Paul he has not seen her. Paul then warned that things will get worst if Adam will not make it. They need to find out Chloe's whereabouts before somebody else will get hurt again.
And at the underground, Mariah heard a sound and asked who was there, to her surprise it was Chloe. Mariah was able to recognize her from Kevin's photos and asked her what is going on. Chloe just said that she wanted her to call Kevin. Mariah called Kevin and told him that she is with Chloe and that she wanted to discuss something to him. And then Chloe hit Mariah's head with a bottle and said, "You tipped him off, you bitch."
Kevin and Paul got at the basement and saw Mariah unconscious. When she regained her consciousness, Kevin asked her if Chloe was the one who did that to her and the she told Kevin that Chloe is not okay. Mariah told Kevin that Chloe said that he was the only person that she can turn to.
And at Crimson Lights, Chloe told Esther that she is in trouble and that she needed her help. Chloe told Esther to stop giving her that look and just give her the money but she did not and that made Chloe angry.
Chelsea appeared and said, "It was you. You tried to kill my husband." Chloe answered, "I should have tried harder."
