Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert: ‘The Voice’ Judge Talks About Divorce With Ex Wife; Admits The Upcoming CMAs Is Going To Be Uncomfortable

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are facing endless rumors since they decided to end their two years of marriage. In an interview on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" Tuesday, the singer proved his honesty about his personal relationship with his former wife when he disclosed that the upcoming Country Music Awards are going to be slightly uncomfortable for them.

It was not the first time that Blake and Miranda's divorce was tackled in public. "The Voice" judge even opened up and joked that he already had a talk with the CMAs host, Brad Paisley, about addressing the elephant in the room, according to E! News.

"This year's gonna be awkward at the CMAs, speaking of jokes," Shelton told Meyers. "Because we are...it's such a family. Everybody there is friends. There's gotta be one about me and Miranda. [Host] Brad Paisley is not doing his job if he doesn't look down there and go 'Ha ha!' You have to address the elephant in the room."

Blake and Miranda are both nominated at the CMAs on Nov. 4, Yahoo reports. It's predicted that their presence at the awards night is going to create a lot of buzz as this is the first time in eight years that they're going to attend the affair separately. Since 2007, they walked together in the red carpet.

After Meyers asked about Blake and Miranda's impending attendance at the CMAs, the "Sangria" singer also brought up a few jokes about the new "The Voice" mentor, R&B singer, Rihanna, People reports.

She's such a smart ass," Shelton joked. "I'm like, 'Oh my God, I'm totally going to push this girl around with my crazy wit. I never could get the upper hand with her. The only thing I could embarrass her about a little bit was ... because I was trying to get her to be flirty, a little bit. I mean, why not? I mean, I'm a perfect match for Rihanna."

The funny singer joked that he has already thought of a good name for them such as "Bihanna" and "Rake."
