"Gravity Falls" Season 2 recently aired an episode titled, "Weirdmageddon," which left many fans wondering what happens next to Mabel and Dipper, as Bill Cipher tries to run the town with his crazy antics. Movie Pilot reported that series creator Alex Hirsch has previously hinted during an interview that this multi-episode arc will have consequences that will determine the show's future.

Hirsh also refused to comment on the possibility that "Gravity Falls" Season 2 will be its last, as summer is coming to an end.

"Is this the end or the beginning? What could happen next? Right now unfortunately I cannot comment on those questions," Hirsh said.

The outlet also provided a series of Easter eggs found during "Gravity Falls" Season 2 Episode 18, including a short clip, which ultimately revealed the real date of the end of the world. In the short clip, Dipper was experimenting with the mailbox, which provided answers to questions. Dipper asked about the real end of the world and the mailbox answered: "3012? Huh. We've got a while!"

Meanwhile, in an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hirsch also talked about the possibility of doing a "Gravity Falls" and "Rick and Morty" crossover.

"I can't say whether there will be more, but I can say that we like to confuse and amuse people so who the hell knows," he said.

Hirsch also teased fans of an upcoming guest star, whom he and Jason Ritter (voice of Dipper) consider as one of their dream guest stars for "Gravity Falls."
