Stanley Tucci of ‘Hunger Games’ Lists South Salem Home for $1.8 Million; Gearing up for ‘Fifth Estate’ Release (VIDEO)

Stanley Tucci of 'The Hunger Games' and 'The Lovely Bones' fame has reportedly listed his home in South Salem, New York, for $1.8 million, according to several news reports.

According to Realtor.com, Tucci purchased the home sometime back in 2005. The 5405 square feet residence sits on a plush six acre lot. The main house has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The compound all encloses a guest house, a shapely pool and has direct access to a 333 acre national preserve.

The listing describes the home as:

Ultimate Country retreat. Graced w/ the patina of history yet fitted with every modern comfort.Masterful expansion of this sprawling country house circa 1775 preserving a wealth of period details while transforming the home into a spectacular modern residence that stands today. Restored floors, original stone fireplaces & old beams have been artfully integrated into the expansive light filled living spaces. Free form pool terrace, vast lawns, guest house & direct access to the 383 acre Preserve.

Tucci is still nurturing his dream of opening his own restaurant. Maybe he will use the proceeds from the sale to fund his eatery dreams. Tucci released a cookbook in 2012 'The Tucci Cookbook,' which tasted great success.

Tucci helped develop the Inch Tavern in Croton Falls, New York. He tells Cigar Aficionado magazine:

"I helped put it (restaurant) together. Everyone thought it was mine but it wasn't. I wasn't as involved as I liked. I still want to do that, to open a little restaurant of my own... I can't stop thinking about food - it's all I want to do."

Very soon, we might find ourselves in a Tucci restaurant! However, we probably will have to travel to London for that because apparently, Tucci is planning to set up base in the English city. According to Starpulse.com, the actor will probably move there to settle down with wife, Felicity Blunt.

While Tucci's real estate deals are well taken care of he is gearing up for the release of his next movie 'The Fifth Estate,' which is a drama thriller based on the website 'Wikileaks'. The movie is slated to hit theaters October 18.
