After getting her hands full with problems at home, Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) will be dealing with the growing crisis in Russia in the new episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 2.
According to the recap by Christian Today for "Madam Secretary" Season 2 episode 4, Elizabeth and her husband Henry (Tim Daly) were horrified to find out that their daughter Stevie's (Wallis Currie-Wood) relationship with the President's son Harrison (Jason Ralph) was leaked to the public. Stevie's naked photos were leaked after Harrison's phone got lost.
While Elizabeth wanted to keep everything from the press, the President suggested that the children make a public statement that Stevie and Harrison were in a romantic relationship to lessen the impact of the scandal. However, Elizabeth did not want her daughter to be associated with a drug addict. In the end, it was revealed that a CIA agent was responsible for leaking the photos, and he wanted to get revenge after he got decimated from his job for a misdemeanor that he claimed he did not do.
In the new episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 2, Elizabeth will deal with problems in the White House as she tries to work her way inside President Dalton's (Keith Carradine) inner circle. According to Latin Post's sources, someone is trying to take advantage of Russia's situation after President Ostrov's (Olek Krupa) death. It was reported that this could cause conflict in the already shaky diplomatic relations of the country with Russia.
The White House also got an intel that the Russians are now working with the Chinese in plotting against the better interest of the United States. Elizabeth will try her best to help the President in this foreign political turmoil as the partnership between China and Russia made the U.S. government concerned.
