The Detroit-based rocker, Robert James Ritchie, who is better known by his stage name 'Kid Rock' has reportedly listed his Malibu mansion for sale with a $13.4 million price tag, according to several news reports.
Kid Rock purchased the home sometime back in 2006 for about $11 million. He is definitely looking for some profit on the sale. Kid purchased the place after some good searching. In 2008, he told the LA Times magazine:
"I wanted a place that was comfortable and fun, where I could kick back, write music and hang out with friends. But it also had to be a house that was well-built - something with quality."
And the home at Bison Ct is exactly what he was looking for. Done up in complete Balinese style, the residence is a posh five-bed, five bath, 8305 square feet single family residence sitting on a 1.54 acre lot.
The listing describes the home as:
Quintessential and tranquil living awaits you in this ultimate Balinese oasis. Enter through the intricately carved doors into this extraordinary home with its beautiful executed details throughout. Kid Rock lives in Detroit now. Just recently, a man Brian D. Keith was charged with attempting to break into Kid Rock's house. Keith was arrested August 3 after photos of the man ramming into the gate were caught on Kid Rock's Clarkston home's security cameras. The man will be sentenced soon, reports the Sacramento Bee.
