'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers & Cast News: Scott M. Gimple Is Not Worried Of Possible Backlash After Glenn's Rumored Death

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 showrunner Scott M. Gimple recently said that he's not worried of the possible backlash the show will receive after Glenn's (Steven Yeun) rumored death.

In an interview with TV Line, Gimple also explained why he didn't directly answer fans' question on whether or not Glenn was killed off from the hit AMC series.

"There are twists and turns, and bad things happen. Ultimately, the dumper scene is still part of a bigger story. I hope that the audience will just wait to see the greater story and see how it all plays out. They're kind of stopping in the middle of the movie, which they have to because there's a week between the reels. But we're still in the middle of the movie," he said.

Meanwhile, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gimple said that he's not worried that "The Walking Dead" will lose it credibility if it will later on be revealed that Glenn survived the walker attack.

"In an episode that I wrote and story I helped craft with Carol, it very much looked like Carol died in season 3. But she was later on found in a cell in the prison. The show wasn't quite as big as it is now, but people went through that story and seemed like they enjoyed it. Carol went through something pretty big here," he said.

In other news, it seems that Gimple already confirmed Glenn's fate, and that he is still alive.

After saying that the fans of "The Walking Dead" enjoyed the story behind Carol's rumored death and then survival, it seems that the same thing can be expected from Glenn.

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
