‘Ocean’s Eleven’ Movie Reboot To Feature Sandra Bullock and An All-Female Cast Members

Sandra Bullock and an all-female movie reboot of the heist comedy film is heading your way!

In an exclusive report by "The Playlist" on IndieWire, the reboot of the heist comedy film is currently in development. It will feature an all-female cast members including Oscar-winning "Interstellar" actress Sandra Bullock.

The idea came from the creative collaboration of the remake's original star, George Clooney, and Bullock. Clooney and Bullock previously starred in Alfonso Cuarón's 2013 space exploration film, "Gravity." Their partnership continued in the upcoming movie "Our Brand Is Crisis" starring Bullock. It is produced by the "Tomorrowland" actor and directed by David Gordon Green.

The 2003's "Ocean's Eleven" film, which is based on the 1960s film of the same name, was directed by Steven Soderbergh. It stars Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Andy García, and Julia Roberts. Due to the ensemble cast and its blockbuster performance, the remake spanned to two more films, "Ocean's Twelve" in 2004 and "Ocean's Thirteen" in 2007 to complete the "Ocean's Trilogy."

The premise of the story starts off with two partner-in-crimes who wanted to rob the world-renowned impenetrable casinos in Las Vegas. After they went to the owner's rival for backup, they gathered different criminal specialists to do the job.

The outlet also reported that a gender-swapped "Ocean's Eleven" concept came to Clooney, Soderbergh, and the late Jerry Weintraub last year. They sought the help of Olivia Milch for the film's script. She was known for writing female-centric films such as "Queen & Country" and "Little Women." It was also said that the film will be directed by Gary Ross ("The Hunger Games," "Pleasantville" and "Seabiscuit.")

Bustle took the chance and imagined their own list of possible "Ocean's Eleven" actresses to play the famous roles by Clooney and his gang. Kickstarting the list are Bullock as Clooney's Daniel "Danny" Ocean, "By the Sea" actress Angelina Jolie and Pitt's real-life wife as Rusty Ryan.

The list also includes Viola Davis (Don Cheadle), Scarlett Johansson (Matt Damon), Leslie Jones (Bernie Mac), stand-up comics Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer (Scott Caan and Casey Affleck), Cicely Tyson (Carl Reiner), Jane Fonda (Elliott Gould), Amy Schumer (Eddie Jemison), Michelle Rodriguez (Shaobo Qin) and lastly, Julia Roberts (Andy Garcia and/or Denzel Washington).

The reboot in development is the latest movie to join the gender-swapping flicks alongside the upcoming "Ghostbusters" film. It will star Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth and Neil Casey.

The "Ghostbusters" reboot will be released on July 15, 2016.
