One of daytime soap favorites, Jensen Buchanan is back and this time she will be joining the elite cast of "The Young and The Restless." According to Soap Shows, the daytime star has already filmed two episodes and it has been said that she is expecting more.
Jensen will be playing the role of Elise Moxley who is described as a member of Genoa City social circle. Soaps In Depth shared that Buchanan's storyline will mostly involve Genoa City's influential people. With that being said, she will be part of the circle that will shake-up "The Young and The Restless." Her character will definitely be racing eyebrows.
The veteran star also told Soaps in Depth that creating a new character on "The Young and The Restless" is a big deal that is why she "really want to do a good job."
Buchanan shared to Soap Opera Digest how she felt being part of the show and she said, "I was really honored that YOUNG AND RESTLESS would come to me and say, 'Do you want to do this part?'"
She also added, "I wasn't exactly playing hard to get. I was just kind of retired and was sort of finished with that chapter in my life, but then I found myself beginning a new place in my life, and my children are both grown now - which is amazing because I had them on ANOTHER WORLD - and found myself now saying, 'I have the time, and I definitely have the passion again.'"
Meanwhile, Michael Fairman Soaps shared that Jensen's fans from her first soap role as Sarah Gordon in "One Life To Live." After that she played a dual role as Vicky/Marley Frame on "Another World," and later on had the role of Vicky on "As The World Turns."
But in 2001, Jensen move to "General Hospital" and played the role of Melissa Bedford but she was reportedly still under contract with ATWT. Since then she no longer appeared in any soaps until now.
Buchanan's character is set to air on Friday, Nov. 13.
