During the live taping of "The Voice UK," Boy George has reportedly revealed that he slept with Prince. The big revelation happened when Boy George was chatting with Paloma Faith. However, one of the show's reps said that it was a joke.
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the "Karama Chameleon" singer and Paloma were bragging about famous artists that they have worked with in the past. It was reported that Boy George dropped the names of Smokey Robinson and Luther Vandross and then Paloma said that she worked with Prince.
Paloma told Boy George, "Well OK, if we're throwing big soul names out there I've performed with Prince." And then Boy George answered her with a shocking reply, "Forget that, darling. I've slept with Prince."
"The Voice UK" audience went crazy after hearing what Boy George said. Reportedly, the stage crew had a hard time calming the audience down to a point that they have to stop filming until everyone is already quiet. And even Will.I.am, who is also on the judges panel, can't believe what he heard. He stood up and gave Boy George a high-five.
According to US Weekly, a set source told The Sun that the show staff went on stage and talked to Boy George as well as the other coaches Ricky Wilson of Kaiser Chiefs and Will.i.am. After the talk, the source told The Sun that "Boy George started backtracking, saying he hadn't really slept with Prince, and that in reality, he just had his poster on the wall."
Another statement from the show came out stating that Boy George was just joking about getting intimate with Prince and that "He was never being serious."
Boy George did not yet give any comment about the "joke" that he said.
Meanwhile, the 54-year-old singer is the newest coach of "The Voice UK" which is already on its fifth season.
