"Hunger Games" stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth were honored during a Handprint Ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Saturday. PEOPLE shared that they received the honor of being the 289th, 290th and 291st people to leave their imprints in the legendary theatre.
Before the stars imprinted their hands and feet into the cement they were given certificates and then they gave short messages to their fans that were around to support them.
Lawrence who played the popular role of Katniss Everdeen said, "We're very grateful. I think I can say that on behalf of everybody here for The Hunger Games. I can't remember your names. I'm just kidding. I know them." While Hemsworth, on a more serious note said, "I'm going to say to you guys I'm honored to share this with you both. I love you guys so much. You guys are my best friends. Let's just be friends forever."
And as for Hutcherson, he thanked all the fans and said, "You guys supported us before the first movie and it could have been really bad! So thank you for that."
Once they were done putting their feet in while all holding hands, they signed their names in the wet cement.
It was reported that while they were signing their names, photographers were screaming at them in order to get a good shot. Jennifer sees to it that she will not be distracted as she told the photographers, "This is going in cement," and added, "It's permanent! I don't want to make a mistake by looking up!"
According to Gossip Cop, Conan O'Brien was one of the ceremony's speakers. He talked about the significance of the handprint ceremony as well as the success of "The Hunger Games" franchise.
O'Brien then told the audience, "I have it on good authority that J.J. Abrams will be rebooting this franchise in six months. I'll see you all at this time next year!"
