Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney Buys Deer Valley Resort Mansion in Park City, Utah

Mitt Romney might have lost in the presidential run, but has shown that he is a player when it comes to real estate. According to several news reports, Romney has just purchased a beautiful mansion in the Deer Valley Resort of Park City, Utah for an undisclosed amount.

Romney and his Wife, Ann Romney purchased the home early in September, reports Desert News. Apparently, Romney's family lived in a similar home in Deer Valley during the 2002 Olympics. They sold it in 2009.

Listing records of the new residence state that it is a 8730-square-feet single family two-story home comprising of six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Sitting on a 0.52 acre lot, the house was built in 1991 and was last listed in 2012 for about $8.9 million, before closing sale.

The listing describes the home as:

As featured in Architectural Digest, this "Utah Rustic" home gave renowned local architect Fred Babcock the opportunity to stretch beyond what one assumed could normally be achieved in log construction. Comprised of whole logs and many local materials, interior designer David Krajeski created an interior that invites both grand entertaining and cozy relaxation. The architectural design is centered on the two-story great room with massive stone fireplace and magnificent views to the Uinta Mountains and beyond. Six bedroom suites accommodate family and friends. The slope-side patio is perfect for year-round enjoyment. Ideally located on the Success Ski Trail, this family retreat offers perfect ski access for all abilities. Buyer to verify all information to their satisfaction.

Mitt Romney has come a long way; from living in an apartment too tiny to accommodate a dining table to owning several properties. The Republican reports that the newly married couple had to eat at a ironing board in the kitchen.

Ann Romney just released a new cookbook 'The Romney Family Table' in which she writes about recipes and the food shared by the family through the ups and downs of their lives.

"It's really about love and sharing the table and what you learn at the table, how you enjoy each other, how you establish traditions," Ann said to The Republican.

However, they now own quite a few properties in La Jolla, California, and Wolfeboro in New Hampshire.
