Seems like Zac Efron, the 'High School Musical' actor is starting all afresh. Just after a brief stint in rehab, Efron has purchased a plush home in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles for about $3.9 million, according to several news reports.
The 25-year-old heartthrob had apparently visited the rehab two different times this year for alcohol and cocaine addiction respectively. However, he is all clean now and has been focussing on work.
"He's healthy, happy and not drinking. He's taking time to focus on working," said a source to E! Online.
According to TMZ, Efron's brand new house is a five-bedroom home snugly enclosed in a gated, private lot. The residence features modern architecture with hardwood flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that offer panoramic views of the city and its skyline. The two-story residence has large spacious rooms and custom-built cabinetry as well.

Efron's new digs are located in the same neighbourhood that 'Glee' star, Naya Rivera recently moved into. Rivera purchased her new home for $2.6 million in April 2013. The residence spans an area of 4158 square feet comprising of five bedrooms and four full bathrooms. Featuring an east-coast style architecture, the house has various luxury amenities like a spa, a pool, a wet bar and a claw-foot bathtub in the master bathroom.
Many other celebs like Kristen Stewart and Rose McGowen also call the neighbourhood home.
Meanwhile, Efron just returned from a trip to Peru, he took with his father. He posted a photo of himself on Instagram captioning it:
"Hey guys! Just returned from an incredible trip to Peru with my dad and wanted to thank you all for your support these past few weeks...means the world to me. Love you guys! - Z."
Efron looked pretty chilled out and healthy too. Previously, his reps declined to comment on the whole drug and alcohol abuse issue. Zac himself has been mum on the subject. This was his first public communication in weeks, reports Huffington Post.
He was spotted looking lean and healthy at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Efron was there to attend the premiere of his latest movie 'Parkland', a drama flick based on the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
