“Doctor Who” Season 9 Episode 8 entitled “The Zygon Inversion” will feature how the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) will figure out the difference of a human and those who are mere Zygon clones.
In episode 7, viewers can recall that the Zygons already took the form of humans making it very hard and even nearly impossible to tell the difference of a human and a Zygon clone. It was even revealed that Clara (Jenna Coleman) is also a Zygon copy. The Zygons are defined as shape shifting aliens that are infiltrating the society and causing chaos to humans, Den of Geek reported.
“Shapeshifting Zygons are everywhere in the UK, and there is no way of knowing who to trust. With UNIT neutralized, only the Doctor stands in their way,” the synopsis said which appears to be one of the most difficult challenges the Doctor will deal with.
The Doctor will do his best in order to figure out something that will help solve the issue but it appears that Osgood (Ingrid Oliver) will seem to start a war as she doesn't show interest in helping the Doctor. He will also try to stop the Zygons which is obviously not an easy task.
The synopsis said, “But how do you stop a war? And what can the Doctor do to save his friends?” With that, it is possible that there might be some irreversible deadly events which are the result of the consequences of episode 7. Due to the confusion, a town was even named Truth or Consequences.
In the trailer, Osgood and her Zygon copy will reveal a new weapon called Osgood Box which may give deadly results. The two Osgoods were even heard saying, “The Osgood Box could end the ceasefire. The Osgood Box could start the war,” International Business Times reported.
Meanwhile, the Zygon clone of Clara appears to be quite dangerous too as she works on her mission to get the Osgood Box but apparently, she would need some help.
In the video, Clara is seen approaching a scared man as she creepily said, “You are going to be the first to make the humans see.” It may not yet be clear as to what Clara is doing but her actions sure looks very creepy.
“Doctor Who” Season 9, episode 8 will air on Saturday at 9 p.m. EST on BBC America. Watch the trailer of the next episode below.
