Paula Deen is one of the TV personalities well received as a household name for homemakers. Although her celebrity stature has taken on staggering heights in the past, Radar Online reports that the celebrity chef now struggles in keeping up with her finances and even loaned an amount of $3.2 million to keep her Georgia Mansion in Savannah.
It was reported in the article of Radar Online that the turn of events in the financial stability of the Lifestyle host came through when she was fired from Food Network last July 2013. The management fired the southern chef for her "racial slur" issues and her numerous instances where she mentioned the "n-word" in her Food Network show.
The article says that Deen was paid "approximately $10 million per year" on her Food Network show and through some of her product endorsements. But when the controversies came out for the 68-year-old, it was reported that her salary was cut down to half.
As reported, the former Lifestyle host is trying to make up with her financial woes and filed a $3.2 million loan for her Savannah mansion. Deen even made a comeback being a TV personality by appearing on the reality dancing competition, "Dancing with the Stars."
Although the 68-year-old admit that joining the show was not easy for her at all, it made her do something "out of her comfort zone."
"Physically it's tough because I hadn't been in a structured exercise program since I was 18 years old. So it is hard, honey! It is hard," said Deen. "But that dancing is challenging and I am certainly out of my comfort zone there."
The Savannah mansion is currently on sale in the market and approximately priced at $5,082,692. According to Radar Online, Deen changed the ownership of the said mansion to her second husband last January, Michael Groover for her "natural love and affection" towards him.
