Latest Tech News: ‘Gest’ Nintendo Power Glove to Replace Mouse and Keyboard

The continuous upgrades of computers and other multimedia devices are indeed amazing. However, the upgrade of some of their peripherals like mouse and keyboards have not yet seen any significant changes, perhaps due to the ever-growing influence of touch screen. The device works with the use of one palm strap and four finger connectors. And each connector is lined to the strap by wires having sensors with a latency of approximately 40 - 60 ms for higher accuracy. The said Gest Nintendo Power Glove also supports Bluetooth connectivity for more freedom and convenience.

According to wareable, "the controller is designed to learn how the user performs gestures like swiping, pointing, flicking, and grabbing. You can also customize your own gestures for additional controller support. It uses accelerometer, gyroscopes, and magnetometers to determine your finger positions. The company claims that the statistical model used in the device makes it 'the most accurate gestural interface on the market today.'"

With the promised accuracy, its developer together with Nintendo assures its future users that Gest is perfect for graphic designers are using programs like Photoshop for imaging, or AutoCAD for 3D modeling. The device itself also has a greater potential for virtual reality use, thus making the virtual reality industry an interesting niche for tech savvy's.
