One Direction's Emotional Plea During Last Concert: 'Please Don't Forget Us' [WATCH]

The boys of One Direction took a bow as they performed at their very last concert on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Sheffield, United Kingdom. Thousands of fans showed their support for the 1D mainstays Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, who were all emotional.

According to BBC UK, the group performed their past hits such as "Little Things," "No Control," and "Best Song Ever." In between performances, the bandmates took the time to reminisce their journey to stardom.

"We've been a band for five years, four months, two weeks and a couple of days," Styles reportedly told the crowd.

"I still can't believe this," Horan added. "I remember five years ago when this all started. Our first gig was a little nightclub in Scotland."

The group, who rose to fame in 2010 through "X Factor UK," are taking a much-needed break after five years of non-stop touring and performing. Ex-member Zayn Malik has already taken the first steps to a solo career, and many fans believe that the remaining members are also keen on going their own way.

However, the group promised their fans that they will be back.

"This is the end of the On The Road Again tour, not the end of One Direction," Payne told the audience while holding back tears.

But Styles couldn't seem to keep his emotions in check. "Please don't forget us," he begged. "We will always be here for you, you guys are the most incredible fans."

The emotional moment was caught by fans who posted several photos and videos on social media.

Talking to Mirror UK, the young popstars said they will be using this hiatus to recuperate from five years' worth of "craziness."

"Basically we are all a bit of a mess," Payne told the British magazine.

"We've had five years of craziness. Now we all need to go away, become mad old recluses, then come back again with giant beards," Horan jokingly added. He also took to Twitter to emphasize that their break is not the end.

According to Hollywood Life, the group will be releasing their fifth studio album entitled "Made in the A.M." on Nov. 13. They are also scheduled to appear as a group in the upcoming BBC Music Awards and the American Music Awards.
