Winning the NBA championship is the ultimate goal of every team and perhaps every player in the league. Now that the regular season of the NBA has formally started, star players from each team would definitely do their best to rise up above challenges in order to win the coveted NBA title-- and perhaps same is the goal of Carmelo Anthony who, since 2003, tried his best to achieve an NBA title but had always felt short of his campaign.
Carmelo Anthony would really love to win a championship. An NBA star like him, competitive and talented, definitely would not want to go down NBA history without a championship ring on his hands. That is why rumors are now surfacing that Melo would be transferring team in order to achieve his championship goal. Trade rumors about Carmelo Anthony have always been on the background since his Knicks transfer, but this time around it seems feasible and logical.
According to allaboutrookies, Melo and the New York Knicks "was predicted by NBA scouts to record around 20 wins this season," somehow suggesting that he would likely be traded by the end of the trade period on February 19. And such move would somehow be beneficial for Melo because it would be less likely for him to achieve his championship goal if he would be staying with the New York Knicks.
In relevance to the said speculation, there are some reports that Melo would likely be traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. With him on the roster, the Pelicans team would automatically be a great contender. Carmelo has a greater chance of winning the championship with the Pelicans especially with Anthony Davis around.
However, the question is who would the Pelicans trade in exchange for Melo? For if the said trade would commence, the logical option for Pelicans to trade would be Anthony Davis. And if they were to strengthen their team, then Pelicans star players would not be the best option for the trade.
Aside from the Pelican transfer rumors, Carmelo has been cited by fans to be a good fit in the Pistons rosters, reported by yibada. On the other hand, the Kevin Love and Carmelo Anthony switch rumors are still being favored by most Melo fans, for it would suggests greater chance for Carmelo winning the championship with LeBron's Cavaliers.
