'Batman: Arkham Knight' Still Broken After Re-Launch, Warner Bros Offering Full Refund on Steam

"Batman: Arkham Knight," the 2015 action game developed by Rocksteady Studios for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS, was disappointing to gamers following its launch in June 2015.

According to Polygon, after several reports that "Batman: Arkham Knight" is broken and plagued with bugs, Warner Bros. has removed it from the shelves temporarily for a major fix. The game was re-launched on Steam on Oct. 28. Prior to this Warner Bros said, "We want to give particular thanks to the members of the PC community who took the time to give us clear, detailed feedback and bug reporting."

Unfortunately, 24 hours after it's re-launch "Batman: Arkham Knight" is still buggy and disappointing as it was four months ago. According to IGN, comments on Steam and Reddit include problems like stuttering, plummeting frame rates and freezing are still rife.

In fact, Warner Bros. reportedly has acknowledged the failure to fix two of the initial bugs that plagued the game since its initial re-launch. As stated in Steam, the players were given a heads up that "After extensive testing, a hard drive paging issue with some GPUs on Windows 7 may occur after extended gameplay sessions. If you encounter this, simply re-launching the game will resolve the issue." In addition, the post has also stated, "For Windows 10 users, we've found that having at least 12GB of system RAM on a PC allows the game to operate without paging and provides a smoother gameplay experience."

But fans were so furious that the Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has offered a full refund on "Batman: Arkham Knight" on Steam. The announcement states, "We are very sorry that many our customers continue to be unhappy with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. We worked hard to get the game to live up to the standard you deserve, but understand that many of you are still experiencing issues."

"Until the end of 2015, we will be offering a full refund on Batman: Arkham Knight PC, regardless of how long you have played the product. You can also return the Season Pass along with the main game (but not separately). For those of you that hold onto the game, we are going to continue to address the issues that we can fix and talk to you about the issues that we cannot fix."
