Tampa Bay Rays’ Evan Longoria Buys Waterfront Home in Florida for $1.4 Million Hard Cash

Evan Longoria, the third baseman for Tampa Bay Rays has reportedly purchased a waterfront mansion in Tampa, Florida, for $1.4 million all in cold, hard cash. He bought the home with his Playboy model girlfriend, Jaime Edmondson, according to several news reports.

Longoria purchased the home via his family trust, which closed sale on September 27. Built in 1971, the Mediterranean home is a 3416 square feet residence comprising of four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The two-story home has large spacious rooms and balconies that provide for ample views of the ocean.

Interiors feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows and tiled marble floors. An amoeba-shaped saltwater pool, an outdoor kitchen and a huge green lawn adorn the outsides.

Longoria is not the only one indulging in some real estate. Other baseball players like B.J. Upton and Alex Rodriguez are some of the other players who have been on the Florida real estate radar for a while now.

While B.J Upton is selling his Tampa home for $1.6 million, Rodriguez just sold his extravagant Miami mansion for $30 million while buying a condo in the area for $2.1 million.
