Before the second part of "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 airs in January, the show will be releasing a special episode this month which will show what the girls have been up to before the five-year jump in episode 11.
In the recent New York Comic-Con, the cast and production of the show revealed that the series will be returning in the second week of January. However, according to Melty, fans of the show won't have to wait that long anymore as a special episode titled "Flash Forward" will be released before the end of this month, and it will reveal what happened to the girls in the five missing years.
After doing a Christmas Special last year, it seems like the show will be having a Thanksgiving special this year. It was reported that the episode will show the girls going home to their families for the holidays after being away for college.
Meanwhile, International Business Times reports that creator Marlene King hinted in a recent interview that the second part of the season will be a "deadly" one. King revealed that the viewers will be seeing a new big bad villain in the episodes to come in the second part of Season 6. According to King, this villain is very different from those in the past seasons, and this time the antagonist is more dangerous.
Sasha Pieterse described the villain in an interview as "deadly" and said that the character will have a whole new motive. Lucy Hale added that the new bad guy will bring a new threat to the girls as they return home to Rosewood after five years of being apart. She added that the stakes are definitely higher this time.
The special episode of "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 will air on Nov. 24, while the second part of the season will begin on January 12, 2016.
